Team Leader Structural Design
As Team Leader you are responsible for the development and improvement of mechanical/ structural design of end-to-end composite tubular systems including ancillary systems, as well as methods of operation, installation and testing. The design and analysis includes conceptual design, detailed design and structural analysis including finite element analysis. For all on- and offshore systems you establish installation methods and optimal modes of operation and advise our clients on its handling. Furthermore the design, build and testing of prototypes and the execution of technical operations are part of the job. You provide the technological expertise in commercial projects, but also in development projects. You make sure all knowledge is documented to standard, protected and reported to relevant parties.
The job profile requires leadership, taking responsibility and initiative, team spirit, discipline, accuracy, and effective communication skills. You structure the work of your team and act independently.
You work in the Technology department and report to the Technology Manager. You are responsible for the coordination and supervision of the engineers in your team as well as for your own work. We expect creativity and a solution driven mindset on both technical and organisational aspects.
Education:
Academic level in technical education such as aerospace, marine, mechanical or civil engineering.
Experience:
At least 5 years experience with structural design and stress analysis or composites engineering.
Experience with leading teams and/or with offshore applications is an advantage.
Competencies:
- Broad knowledge of structures and/or composites
- FEM (e.g. MSC.Marc)
- Leadership
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Proficient in computer applications
